My name is Peter Mander. I am a Minister in the Scottish Episcopal Church. This site is a personal exploration of being "on the edge of .." in pictures, prose and poetry.

Being a Christian is to some extent about being 'on the edge of' two worlds yet one reality. It is a border place. Everyone is on the edge of something or other - that is what being alive is about .. sometimes it is positive experience, sometimes it is uncomfortable but always it has the potential to be a place of growth because only by being on the edge of can you see properly. Otherwise I am like a goldfish who does not know about water or the bowl .. more ...

Pebbles

God does not confront us with a boundary, he presents us with an infinite horizon.

Mystery is not something you cannot understand, but it is something that is endlessly understandable

Touchstones

These stones are from the edge of Holy Island (Lindisfarne). They are decorated,  using acrilic paint and varnish, with caricatures of some of the celtic/saxon fantastical creatures which illuminate the pages of the Lindisfarne Gospels.
